Basic Rules

First and foremost, one of the most important rules on this site is RESPECT. We need to respect the staff and one another. This site was created to have fun and to have an escape from reality so please do not bring drama on the site or create drama.

Please obey and follow the rules that you are reading here. If you do not understand and need further clarification please feel free to ask a staff member so they can help you understand. These rules are not made to have the site under lock and key and tyranny but to have it run smooth for everyone.

Do not copy, steal, or take anything off of this site and say that it is your own. If you are inspired by something or would like to use something ask the owner and maybe they can help you out or let you use something with their permission. If any one is caught stealing on this site it would be an automatic ban.

Word Count is no less than 300 words except in the mini roleplay board. So in all the other roleplay boards your posts need to be at least 300. If you can not do that then we will help you on how to do that or we will ask you to please work towards getting a high word count. If you can not do at least 300 word posts, we ask that you do not join our site.

This site is a PG - 13 site. So please do not role play sex or anything too violent. If your character is going to have sex please fade out or skip the time forward so its after they had sex. If we feel you can not keep this site at the PG -13 rating then we will ban you for a day or two and if that does not work then we will ban you longer until we feel you have realized what you done wrong.

Application Guidelines

Please do not change the coding of the application. Just leave it alone and fill it out. To submit your application post your application in its own thread in the Pending Applications Board. Write up to the minimums on all the areas. If for some reason a staff member asks you to clarify or to expand more please do so with out a fuss. Please do not create perfect characters or unrealistic ones either. People are both good and bad not one or the other but a mix. Your characters must be original and not from a movie/tv show/book/real life/etc. The applicaiton is made to be a profile for your character so the more detail you put into the application the better you and everyone else will have at getting to know the character.

Character Limits

Here on Fools Like Me, we will not accept any Emo/Scene/Myspace/etc. playbys because that is the not the crowd we want to be on the site. Also you can not have any anime/cartoon characters for your play by. Your play by must be a live human celebrity. If you need help coming up with a play by please refer to the PLAY BY SUGGESTION THREAD. The face claim is first come first serve. We do have reservations for characters however if there is a time limit on the reservations, even for staff. If you have any wanted characters that are needing to be filled and you have picked out a specific play by for that character than you can add those to the face claim as well since you are claiming them for a future character.

We ask that after two girls, you create one boy character so that way we don't get over run by girls. There is no limit on how many characters you may have on this site, we just ask that you keep your characters active. We want to keep the site fairly evened out so we will put bans on genders and also member groups. Your characters must not be under sixteen. Sixteen is the youngest your character(s) can be in order to get accepted.

Display Names

This is pretty simple your display name for the site must have your character's first middle and last name. After the name you may have symbols or what not but not before. For examples look below so you know what is okay and what is not.

If you are still not clear what is allowed and what is not for your display name please ask a staff member.

Graphics

Your graphics may not be larger than 500 x 500. Your avatar must not be any larger than 200 x 200. If your graphics are stretching the site, we will first ask you to change your graphics. If you still have not change the graphics, we will take it down and send you a pm telling you why we removed your graphics. We would appreciate it if your characters are covered up in your graphics. We know that some people like to show girls in underwear and such but we want to keep this site in the PG-13 rating and also we want to have some class and taste to the site. If the staff finds your graphics to be a little inappropriate then we will ask you to change the graphics.

C-box Rules

Please keep the cbox spam free and drama free. The cbox is used for us to talk to one another on the site. If you fight in it or misuse the cbox than the staff will take the cbox away. Also please refrain from swearing and cussing in the cbox as well because we need to be cautious at how we present ourselves and this site. Please be kind to our guests that talk and ask questions in the cbox. Also please respect each other in the cbox so that way we don't grow resentments towards each other.

Have fun! That is what this whole site is about having fun! So plot and write and enjoy yourselves on this site that is the best thing to do. That is why you are on this site right?
